Oats Semolina bread

Loved the texture of this Oats-Semolina bread.....let's get started with the recipe

Ingredients
Chirotti rava(very minute one).  2 cups
Oats flour.                                    1 cup
Yeast.                                           1 tspn
Honey.                                          2 tblspn
Milk powder.                               2 tblspn
Lukewarm water.                       Half cup
Butter at room temperature.    2 tblspn
Salt as per taste



Method

  • Activate yeast with lukewarm water and yeast, this will take 10 minutes.
  • Add oats flour, Semolina, milk powder and salt into the yeast mixture, mix well and keep closed for 10 minutes.
  • Add butter to it and knead into a dough by adding water little by little.
  • Use the stretch and pull method and knead for 10 minutes and form a sticky yet soft dough and keep aside in a greased bowl for first proofing till it doubles in size.
  • Then take the dough, punch it and knead for few seconds.
  • Press with hands and roll like a chapati, roll from one side and make a log.
  • Place the shaped log into the loaf tin which is greased well.
  • Press properly and apply milk or egg on it.
  • Cover with a damp cloth and keep for second proofing till it reaches the brim of tin.
  • Bake at 200 degrees for 50 minutes in a preheated oven.
  • Apply butter on the loaf when it is still warm and cover with a damp cloth and keep aside to cool.



Notes


  • Measurement cup size is 250 ml
  • Loaf tin size is 7.5" * 3.5".
  • Each oven is different so bake accordingly.
  • U may have to shuffle sides while baking to get the brown colour.
  • Milk wash us brushing milk on loaf before baking.
  • Egg wash is one egg plus 2 tblspn water and apply on loaf before baking.
