Healthy choco fill cookies
Dark fantasy choco fill cookies who doesn't like? Not only the kids but even the adults love the crunchy crust with soft chocolate oozing out....but how about a healthy version of it???? Let's see in the recipe below..

- Whole wheat flour. 1 cup
- Roasted ragi flour. 1/2 cup
- Melted jaggery. 1 cup
- Butter @room temp. 1/2 cup
- Baking soda. 1/2 tspn
- Baking powder. 1tspn
- Vanila essence. Few drops
- Chocolate essence(optional). Few drops
- Cocoa powder. 2 tbspn
- Dark chocolate. 1 cup
Method
- Melt dark chocolate and keep it aside to cool down.
- Melt jaggery and let it cool( not completely, just till warm).
- Mix whole wheat flour, ragi flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder.
- Take butter, Vanila essence, chocolate essence and melted jaggery and mix well.
- Add the dry ingredients and make a soft dough and refrigerate it for 15 mins.
- Make small bite size balls with melted chocolate.
- Make around 12-15 portions of dough.
- Flatten each cookie dough inside palm and stuff chocolate balls into each of it.
- Close it and give cookie shape, flatten a little and place it on the greesed baking tray.
- Bake them at 180 degree for about 20-25 mins in a preheated oven.
- Cool and serve the crunchy yet soft centered choco fill cookies.
Note
- Measurement cup size is 250ml
- With this measurement around 12-15 cookies can be baked.
- If the dough seems to be hard then u may add little milk else there is no need.
- If the butter is unsalted add a pinch salt to the dough.
- Colour of cookie may differ according to the colour of jaggery too.
- I have used milk compound so the difference of stuffed chocolate colour, but dark chocolate is better.

ReplyDeleteHi Devishi, add little milk n knead again...check for sweetness if less u can add jaggery syrup too to make dough soft.
