Lal aur Hara Paratha/Puri/Roti

Have u ever have had a colourful roti, paratha or puri? Just have a look at this recipe, beautiful red and green colour rotis,parathas or puris will enhance the beauty of your dining table. Try this in your kitchen as the festival of colours is round the corner, and it will add colours to your menu too with a smile on your loved ones’ face.


Ingredients

Wheat Flour                                                     3 cups
Beatroot                                                          1 medium size
Palak (spinach)                                               half bunch
Green chillies                                                   5-6 nos.
Garlic-Ginger paste                                         2 spoon
Jeera                                                               ½ spoon
Sesame (white)                                                ½ spoon
Ghee/oil                                                          2 spoon
Salt to taste
Water as required to knead dough



Method

·         Clean spinach properly in water, chop and keep aside.
·         Remove the skin of beatroot, clean and cut into small pieces and keep aside.
·         Take a mixer jar, put spinach, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and grind into a smooth paste. Similarly, prepare a paste of beatroot too separately
·         Take half wheat flour, add salt, jeera, sesame, spinach puree and alongwith water and ghee/oil and knead a smooth green colour dough.
·         Prepare another red colour dough with beatroot puree/paste in the similar way.
·         Make red and green colour rotis/parathas or puris with this dough.


Note

  • Small rotis or puris will be perfect for kids party as this is colourful and kids will love as its different in look too.
