Panipuri Crackers
My family is a panipuri freak😀 literally.....to satisfy their taste buds tried my hands on these Panipuri Crackers, believe me, before the crackers cooled down my son & daughter had grabbed half of them from the cooling rack😁......the chataka - pataka crackers are spicy , chatpata and tangy....baked with whole wheat flour & oats...
Ingredients
Whole wheat flour. 1 cup
Oats powder. 3 tblspn
Unsalted butter. 60 gms
Chopped coriander leaves. 2 tblspn
Chopped mint leaves. 1 tblspn
Chopped green chillies. 1 tblspn
Chopped garlic. 1 tspn
Panipuri masala. 1.5 tblspn
Raw cane sugar. 2 tspn
Black salt. 1 tblspn
Lemon juice. 1 tblspn
Baking powder. 1 tspn
Method
- Blend coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, garlic, lemon juice in a mixer Jar using little water. It should be coarse not smooth.
- Cream butter and raw cane sugar well, it will take around 5-7 minutes.
- Add whole wheat flour, oats powder, baking powder, black salt, panipuri masala and mix well into the butter mixture.
- Add the coriander paste and prepare a dough. Do not over mix. Just bring it together and form a ball.
- Refrigerate it for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven at 160 degrees for 12 minutes.
- Roll out a big chapati of dough and cut out crackers in shapes of your choice.
- Place in a tray which is lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle little black salt & panipuri masala on the crackers and bake it at 160 degrees for 20 minutes or till done.
- Cool down completely on a rack and store in an airtight container.
- Enjoy the chatpata crackers anytime.
Notes
- The masalas, chillies etc can be used as per your taste.
- Butter should be at room temperature.
- Coriander paste should have small pieces of coriander and mint leaves in them, not a smooth paste.
