Healthy Oreo biscuits
Oreo biscuits are favorite with almost all kids, tried my best to make it healthy.....
Ingredients
Whole wheat flour 1.5 cups
Butter unsalted. 1/2 cup + 3tblspn
Raw cane sugar. 1 cup + 3 tblspn
Dark cocoa powder. 2 tbspn + 1 tblspn
Chocolate essence. 1/4 spn
Baking powder. 1 tspn
Baking soda. 1/2 tspn
Milk. 3 to 4 tblspn
Cornflour. 1 tblspn
Salt a pinch

Dark cocoa powder. 2 tbspn + 1 tblspn

Milk. 3 to 4 tblspn
Cornflour. 1 tblspn

Method
- Take a bowl , cream well melted butter and raw cane sugar till it becomes light in colour.
- Add chocolate essence, Whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt to it and mix well .
- Add milk little by little and form a dough.
- Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes.
- Take it out, roll out a big chapati using 2 butter paper and cut out round shape cookies with a cookie cutter.
- Place them in a baking tray with parchment paper and give impression of cookies (OREO) using a Oreo biscuit and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 20 minutes.
- Cream well 3 tblspn butter, cane sugar, 1 tblspn cocoa powder and cornflour till it's soft.
- After the cookies are cooled down, place the buttercream on one cookie and place another on it and gently press to make Oreo biscuits.
Note
- I have used cup size of 250 ml
- Milk should b added gradually.
- Place the dough in a Butter paper , then keep another butter paper on it and roll to form a chapati. So that it does not stick.
- The cookies should b neither too thin Not too thick.
- Oreo biscuit is used to give impression, don't press it too hard.
- Try to use dark cocoa powder to get that black colour of biscuits.
- Check the cookie cutter size to match the size of store bought Oreo biscuits.
