Quick chicken

  1. Chicken (with bones)                                 500 gms
  2. Turmeric powder                                       1 spn
  3. Red chilli powder                                       3 spn
  4. Coriander powder                                     2 spn
  5. Garam masala / chicken masala                 2 spn
  6. Curry leaves                                             20-25 nos.
  7. Ginger garlic paste                                   1 spoon
  8. mustard seeds                                          ½ spoon
  9. coconut oil                                               3 spn
  10. Dry red chilies                                         2-3 nos.
  11. Chopped coriander leaves                       2 spn
  12. Lemon juice                                            1 spn
  13. Salt to taste


Method

  • Clean chicken in lukewarm water 5-6 times and  keep aside.
  • Put clean chicken in a deep bowl and mix with salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam/chicken masala, ginger garlic paste and 10-15 nos. of curry leaves. Mix well with hands so that all the masalas are well blended into the chicken and keep aside for 10-15 mins.
  • Heat coconut oil in a kadhai and splatter mustard seeds, dry red chillies and remaining curry leaves.
  • Then add the marinated chicken pieces into the kadhai and lemon juice , mix well and cook with closed lid for 20-25 mins or until the chicken is cooked well.
  • Just keep on stirring/mixing well every 10mins.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
