Sweet Poha with coconut
An instant sweet dish, kids’ favourite and more than anything else, no cooking medium required to prepare.
Can be served as a desert for diet conscious people, can be eaten in between meals and a wonderful snack item for children.
- Poha 1 cup
- Ghee (optional ) 1 spoon
- Jaggery ½ cup
- Cardamom powder ½ spoon
- Nutmeg Powder ¼ spoon
- Grated Coconut ½ cup
- Mixed dry fruits(chopped) (optional) ¼ cup
- Banana 1 no.
- Black sesame 2 spoon
Method
- Wash poha under running water with the help of a strainer and keep it aside.
- Put poha in a large bowl, add grated jaggery and mix it well with the help of hand so that the sweetness penetrates into the poha.
- Then add the grated coconut, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, chopped mixed dry fruits, banana pieces, sesame and mix it well.
- Finally pour a spoon of ghee and garnish with banana pieces, grated coconut and sesame.
