Mixed (nuts & cereals) chikki

January 14 th (Uttarayan) is on the doorstep. All are fond of eating chikki during this time of the year. Normally people make peanuts, sesame, mamra chikki. Try something different this year. A more healthier version of chikki. Ingredients Sesame (til)                                           1 cup Oats                                                       1 cup Wheat flakes                                        1 cup Crushed peanuts                                 ½ cup Jaggery                                                  2-3 cups Elaichi powder                                     1 spoon Jaifal Powder   (nutmeg)                      1 spoon Water                                                    3-4 cups Cooking Oil                                          1 spoon Ghee to grease the plate Method ·          Dry roast sesame and oats separately till they turn brown in colour. ·          Boil water and add jaggery to it and mix well. ·          Once the jaggery starts mel

Roasted Mix

  A perfect recipe for a healthy breakfast Ingredients Cornflakes                                            1cup Murmure (mamra)                               1 cup Poha                                                    1 cup Honey                                                  5 spoons Mixed dry fruits (chopped)               2 spoons Mixed fruits (apple, banana, Strawberries, oranges etc)             1 cup Method ·          Dry roast cornflakes, poha and murmure separately in a pan till it becomes little hard and slight colour change. ·          Transfer all into one big bowl, add honey, chopped mixed dry fruits and fruits (cut into small pieces). ·          Mix well and serve
